Two down. One to go.

Last night was definitely the type of Hedley show I'm used to. I got to St Jean around 2:30 and Jenn and I went to hang out with Athena & Jen at the venue. The show was just so much fun. I hated the opening bands though. French screamo is definitely not my thing. It was just so amazing. The guys put on a hell of a show. After the show we went to say hi to the guys and then we went out and froze in Jenns car for an hour while we waited for Sean. That was fun. I missed the smaller shows though, although this one wasn't that small. 450 people apparently. I still remember that first show at Club Soda in 2005 when there was maximum 100 people there. I still love it as much as I did back then.

The Hedley show on Wednesday in Montreal wasn't as good as I was expecting. We were front row..right beside the speaker and my ears are still ringing. It was great to be around all the girls again though. It really sucks that I have to wait for events like this to see everyone again. Agnes, Melissa, Brittany & Mandy all came to see the show which was awesome. It's weird for me to see school friends at these shows. Especially when some of them are going to experience the band for the first time. We didn't stick around long. My brother picked up Sarah at the train station and we met up with them after the show.

Thursday Sarah & I went downtown for some Leafs autographs for her jersey. When we got there the first person I saw was Higgins...so I went to get something signed and made an ass out of myself so THAT WAS FUN..Then at around 12:30 Kaberle, Kubina & Sundin all walked out. Sarah froze completely. I had to pry the jersey out of her hands and get the sharpie. I got Kaberle to sign it but I couldn't ask Sundin. He's a wall. He's far too intimidating and I don't get intimidated by hockey players very easily. Then Tucker & McCabe came out. We made them miss their taxi. That was interesting. They found another one which is better then O'Byrne who spent 10 minutes on the corner trying to hail taxis. Then we went to the game. Leafs won it 4-2 which was just fantastic...! Sarah got hassled by so many people for wearing her Leafs jersey but it was so funny. Especially the spirit fingers guys.

On Friday we just sat around and watched Friends & we went over to Claires so I could babysit the kids.

On Saturday Melissa came over so I could do a photoshoot for my Darkroom photography class but I found black spots over my lens and so I just dropped the class. That's how I work. So instead we walked over to my work to see Al and he chatted it up with them for awhile. Then Sarah & I watched the Leafs win against the Wings in overtime. We headed downtown after to watch the game at La Cage. That was fun. Huet let in 3 goals in a span of 5 minutes. Was pulled. Replaced by Price who let in 3 more goals. Lost it 6-1. I don't like what's going on but I have a nasty feeling there's a slump coming our way. We've been playing pretty shaky over the past two weeks.

So I'm completely overwhelmed. I can honestly say..I'm not used to this feeling and I don't care for it very much. Between school, my internship, babysitting and my job..I don't have very much room for any type of social life. My workload at school this semester is intense, I can't drop my job because I have an amazing boss who pretty much accepts the fact that I need flexible hours, I don't want to drop my babysitting gig because it's extra money coming in and I can't drop my internship because well...it's my future. It's strange how so much has changed in the past 2 years. My biggest problem two years ago was trying to figure out which tv show to watch it two of them were playing at the same time or who's house the gang should be hanging out at. I refuse to give up my concerts or my hockey tickets so that should be a lot of fun trying to figure out how I'll fight all these things into a 7 day week.

&&tonight I'm going to attempt to balance a Habs game with two homework assignments. 24 hours until the Hedley concert. I keep hiccuping. I think I'm excited

February 2nd 2008

First afternoon game of my life and...well let's just say it was different. The fact that it was "Family Weekend" made it even more kid crazy. There were so many children it was unreal but that made it fun. There was a pretty intense wave going...the first one I've witnessed in almost two years of games. The game was awesome. Went with Mikey, Chris & Stew and we sat high up behind the opposing goalies net..and that's officially my favorite place to sit. You get such an amazing view of the entire Bell Center. Kovalev, Kostitsyn & Huet got the loudest cheers in the opening video, with Stew & I leading the Huet chant haha. First period was pretty uneventful...until Comeau hit Higgins from behind. I watched him crumble to the ice and lay there for about 5 minutes. I didn't sit down until I saw him play his next shift. I never ever want to witness Higgins getting injured ever again. Second period produced 3 goals from our guys(including one shortie) and one goal from the Isles. In the third Huet made some sweet saves..especially one of him sliding halfway across the ice to stop a breakaway. The Bell Center went silent...and then insane. Habs won it 4-1 and are now 3 points behind Ottawa(dear god I was actually rooting for the Leafs tonight.). I'm so proud of my guys, especially the young guys who've really stepped it up thanks to Kovy's leadership. So after that we met up with Emma for dinner and now I'm attempting to stay awake to watch the Dallas/Flames game.
