April 1st 2008: FIRST IN THE DIVISION!!!!!!!!!!

So....according to experts the Montreal Canadiens were supposed to end out of the playoffs around the 12th-14th spot. Those experts are definitely worth listening to because..for the first time in 15 years THE HABS HAVE CLINCHED THE NORTHEAST DIVISION basically guaranteeing we end 1st or 2nd in the East. Oh man I remember last year, not being able to breathe through the last 10 games of the season. Every game was so important coming right down to that heartbreaking game against the Leafs on the last day. It feels so fucking good knowing that hockey season doesn't end in 2 games for us Habs fans. I'm so proud of my team. They've shown so much character this year. The only thing that will make this all better will be having Komisarek and Koivu back for the playoffs. I would hate to start the 1st round without them.

This weekend should be good but first I have to get through this week. For some strange reason all my homework has mysteriously piled up and I'm kind of overwhelmed. Definitely looking forward to Saturday though. Going downtown at 8am to help out the 94.7 gang with a Cheerfest thing and then I'm going out for dinner with Laura & Jenn followed by the FINAL Habs game of the season against the Leafs with Stew.

Heartbreaking

I was browsing Youtube and I came across this video and I don't think I've cried that hard in a long time. This video is absolutely heartbreaking. It's so disturbing to know that things like this go on all the time and these tiny innocent children have to suffer because they were unlucky enough to grow up in a home where someone became a parent when they had no right to be. What made this video even more upsetting was the fact that this little girls father, who clearly loved her very much, was fighting in a war while this was happening to his daughter. We live in an incredibly messed up society.

Excuse me while I FREAK out. I'M GOING TO GAME 1 OF ROUND 1 OF THE PLAYOFFFSSS. My first ever playoff game. I had to overpay but that's the only way you're going to get playoff tickets in this city unless you somehow manage to luck in and get through online after hours and hours and hours of waiting in a virtual lineup. Oh man. I'm overwhelmed right now haha.

I really can't get over how pathetic this week was, school wise. Classes started up on Tuesday. I had a class that day in which I was supposed to do my oral but the teacher talked for a good hour and didn't give me a chance to do it. Fine. Wednesday I sat through a boring Humanities class, followed by a Music class where we watched a movie on The Beatles. Ask me what I've learned so far in those 3 classes! My class got canceled this morning because the teacher was sick so I basically just go in for two hours this afternoon to FINALLY do my English oral. So all I've really accomplished this week is an oral on a book I could care less about. Oh CEGEP. Tonight I'm going to watch E.T for my film studies class and possible Se7en. I've been wanted to see that movie for ages. Then tomorrow it's all about homework I've been procrastinating and I need to pick up some things for the get together on Saturday. So basically what's going to happen is I'm going to come home from school and get distracted by the Bruins/Leafs game. I'm way too predictable.

BY THE WAY, I never thought I'd see the day when I would dislike a team more then the Toronto Maple Leafs. I clearly hate them because of the intense rivalry between the fans and the teams but I actually respect a handful of players on their team and I adore Kaberle and Toskala. I realized yesterday that there is absolutely NOTHING I like about the Boston Bruins. Everybody on their team(with the exception of Savard) drives me insane, and that goes for the coach as well. I can't stand Tim Thomas and Chara..just...I have no words for how much I dislike that man. I don't know..if it came down to it I'd root for Toronto over the Bruins. Hell at this point I'd root for anyone over the Bruins. I don't root for teams filled with goons and minimal amounts of talent.
