March 8th 2008
Hello social life. After spending several days lying around, pretending to be productive I decided to go out for a night on the town with my girls. Lisa & I hung out at Mimi's house for a little bit and caught up while Mimi chugged some chocolate milk and showed us lovely movie trailers. We headed out at around 10:30 and hung out at 1234 for an hour and a half until the fashion show started. There are several reasons I don't enjoy clubbing. I'm more of a bar kind of girl. It actually disgusts me when I see all incredibly artificial girls in their skimpy outfits with their breasts falling out and about 10 pounds of makeup to go with their bleached hair. What happened to being unique?! All these girls look like Barbie dolls who are looking to get laid, or jumped by some horny man the minute they separate from their friends. How low is your self-esteem that you need to dress like that? I just thank god I've surrounded myself with amazing friends who don't need to degrade themselves to have fun and who don't need to get hit on to feel good about themselves. I feel really bad for the girls that do. They give a bad image to females everywhere.

After clubbing we ran down the street in the snow(I was in flats with no socks, smoooooooth) and headed back to Lisa's where I didn't get to bed until the early hours of the morning. As much as I dislike clubbing, I'll take any excuse to hang out with those two girls. I always have the absolute best time when I'm with them no matter what we're doing. Definitely looking forward to the summer when we'll be able to spend hours doing what we do best, wandering around Montreal discovering random new things.

Tomorrow is my last day of March Break. Some break...the past two days have been awful. It's snowing like crazy outside. I've had to shovel several times in the last two hours just so that we could use our front steps. I just want this snow to end and for summer to begin. Laura & I are going to Disney on Ice tomorrow at 3. We've decided to relive our childhood with a bunch of 5 year old children. Should be a good time?

I'm tired now. A lack of sleep & this shitty weather is just a bit of a downer. On a closing not GO HABS GO!

March 4th 2008
My goal over March Break was to complete a bunch of homework assignments weeks in advance so I wouldn't have to worry about them...and so far I've done none. I have zero motivation. I'd much rather go out and enjoy some of my time off. Yesterday Melissa & Lea came over for a bit. We went out to Fairview just to get away from the house and I managed to buy the wrong season of Will & Grace. I shouldn't be allowed to shop. First I bring home two left boots, then an XS that I thought was a M and now this. Then we came back to my place and created the worlds creepiest snowman and we named him Hymer-Schmidt. I'm currently looking out my window and he's not looking too hot. His head is no longer connected to his body and I'm pretty sure the birds & squirrels have eaten his eyes and his mouth. R.I.P Hymer Schmidt, you kept us entertained for a good 15 minutes.

Boston played Washington last night, my first chance to actually watch Cristo play since he got traded. Washington ended up creaming Boston and winning it 10-2. Huet got pulled in the 3rd period though because of back spasms and was kept out for precautionary reasons. "Huet has back spasms. Probably from laughing so hard at the Boston Bruins"

Then I had to endure some late night hockey. I honestly shouldn't be allowed to watch it so late and I definitely shouldn't be allowed to watch a match up of my absolute two favorite teams. In the first period..in the first 3 minutes San Jose scored 2 and we scored 1 and I was completely overwhelmed haha. There's a part of me that wants to cheer for Thornton & Marleaus goals and then I feel guilty. The game went to shit after that. The refs ignored a blatant goalie interference on Price that led to a SJ goal and SJ spent the entire game disrupting Price and it was pretty obvious he was pissed off from the way he was reacting whenever someone got even remotely close to him in his crease. He didn't have a good night at all though. We ended up losing it 6-4 but I was proud of the guys. They battled back to tie it up on 3 different occasions but Price just couldn't keep us in the game. 3 more games in the West. This should be interesting.

FIRST IN THE EAST?!

Well that shuts up all those people that said we didn't have a better team then last year. I know there's still 16 games left and anything can happen but I'm just so happy right now. I can't remember the last time I felt this good going into March. Carey Price is reminding me why I loved him so much in the World Juniors & with the Bulldogs. As much as I miss Huet, if Price keeps playing like this the Habs are going to have a very bright future.

February 29th 2008: Extra Day of the Year Was A Good Day

February 29th 2008: Extra Day of the Year Was A Good Day
Today was an all around great day. I finally finished my English essay and sent it in to my teacher this morning so that's one thing I can check off my list of homework. I think I'm going to spend most of tomorrow studying and get some assignments done so I can enjoy my March Break. I met up with Laura & Jenn at around 1 at the Habs boutique and since they were selling Huet stuff for 50% off we decided to pick up a shirt for each of us. My old Huet shirt was way too big for me so I gave it to my brother. This one is a much nicer fit. Then I came home and scrap booked which I haven't done in ages.

It was a fantastic night in regards to hockey. I listened to the Washington vs New Jersey game online and Huet played a very strong game. He got his first shutout in his first game with the team, stopping 18 shots, one of which was a breakaway from Zach Parise. I'm so proud of the guy. I honestly wish him all the best and even though I'm not a huge fan of Washington I hope he re-signs there because I want him to stay in the East so I can see him play live every once in awhile at the Bell Center. It was also nice to see him in all his Habs gear, the only thing different was the jersey he was wearing. Habs were outstanding tonight, beating Buffalo 6-2. Pleks got a hattrick and Kovy had 4 assists. Price was solid again tonight making 31 of 33 saves and one of the goals that he let in was completely lucky on Buffalos part seeing as how it bounced off the glass, off the back of Prices head and in the net. ON TOP of all that the Leafs lost. Now they're far enough from the playoffs..and far enough from the Stamkos sweepstakes to make me very very happy.

Now the Habs are 2nd in the East and 1st in the Division. It's so nice to see all those sports commentators admitting how wrong they were for predicting we'd finish 9th, 10th or 11th. We still have a hard stretch coming up so now I get to see how much character my team has. With New Jersey losing tonight, thanks to Huet who's clearly still helping us out, we're 1 point away from 1st in the East. Only bad thing out of all of this is we play New Jersey tomorrow and I have a feeling Brodeur did not enjoy being shutout and losing 4-0 to Huet and the Caps.
